Ben Avon Leaf Collection

Ben Avon leaf collection will begin in late October and run through the last week in November. Please refrain from putting leaves at the curb until that time.

When raking leaves to the curb, be sure there are NO twigs, branches, mulched material, grass or other debris that can get caught in the machine.

Ohio River Blvd. leaf collection will occur the first week of December.

Once a street has been collected for the last time at the end of November, please do not place any additional leaves at the curbside. You will be responsible for bagging and disposal during regular Wednesday Waste Management collection.

Anyone with questions can contact Dale Regrut, Public Works Foreman, at 412-761-5311.

Waste Management Labor Day Schedule

Due to the Labor Day holiday, Ben Avon’s scheduled Waste Management trash and recycling collection will be provided 1 day late. Please ensure your containers are available for service.

Here are some steps you can take to prepare for your service:

  • Best practice is to place your container out the night before where allowed or by early morning on your service day
  • Keep your container accessible. Parked vehicles and other obstacles may prevent us from servicing your container

Please go to the Ben Avon calendar, http://benavon.com/calendar/, for the schedule.

Have a safe and happy Labor Day!
